After any mechanical equipment is used for a period of time, its efficiency will decrease due to the influence of various factors. Among them, the factor that has a great impact on filter press equipment is the clogging of the filter cloth, so the filter cloth of the filter press equipment must be cleaned frequently.

The filter press is used for solid-liquid separation. Long-term operation will cause long-term contact between the filter cloth and the filtrate. Coupled with strong pressure, more and more solid particles in the filtrate will adhere to the filter cloth.

At the same time, the filter cloth is woven with a tight hole processing method, so that the solid particles that penetrate deep into the filter cloth are not easily discharged. Once these particles accumulate more and more, they block the filter pore size of the filter cloth and naturally reduce the filtration speed of the filter cloth. It will be greatly reduced, resulting in low efficiency of the equipment.

Before cleaning, we need to understand the properties of the filter cloth filtrate, so as to choose the corresponding cleaning method. When the filtrate is acidic, we should choose weakly alkaline water to soak the filter cloth, usually for 10 to 24 hours, then gently rub the filter cloth several times, rinse it with clean water, and then dry it until it is 90% dry. It can be used again. Similarly, for acidic or neutral filtrate, we only need to change the soaking solution to weak acidity. It is worth adding that when the filtration liquid is sticky, we also need to add some corresponding diluent to the soaking liquid to achieve better washing effect.

Hydraulic oil is like the blood of a filter press. It lubricates parts and allows the filter press to generate pressure. Over time, the hydraulic oil will emulsify, and when the hydraulic oil works in a high-pressure sealed environment, it will wash away the surface of the filter press, and impurities will be mixed into the hydraulic oil, which will accelerate the oxidation and deterioration of the hydraulic oil. In this way, the hydraulic oil will not be able to protect the filter press. Therefore, when cleaning filter press equipment, you should also pay attention to the hydraulic oil and replace it in time when appropriate.
